3 Weeks Away

Wow the time has really passed quickly! Right now we are keeping track of RSVPs and putting the finishing touches on the everything. I thought I had everything taken care of and realize I forgot about the bouquets! Luckily Hollie knows a girl who can help me with those. We also spent a whole day making the party favors. Thanks to Heidi and Jami for helping out too!

Dan and I met with our wedding coordinator at the hotel recently. She loves our wedding design so much that she's trying to get a videographer for free so she can use it for marketing. :)

Tonight is my bachelorette party. My amazing friend, Jenn, has been working with my mom to make this night an embarrassing and unforgettable time. I'm nervous to find out what they have planned, but excited too! Tomorrow my girls, Hollie, and I are taking a limo to the spa for a much needed day of relaxation.

Don't worry, Dan gets his party too! He just wants to wait until Matt comes in from Canada. They'll be doing their thing on October 3rd.

If you're coming to the wedding but haven't sent back your RSVP, please do! It's so much easier when everything is on paper.

Real invitations... I promise! We hope to send them out sometime in July. Our lovely and amazingly creative friend, Mandy, is designing our invites right now (well maybe, she could also be working)! :o) If you know her, then you know they will turn out amazing. I can't wait to see them! All the information you will need will be included in the invite. But if you can't wait that long please contact me and I'll provide any info you want.

Dan and I will be with some of my family in Catalina for the 4th of July. Have a great weekend!

Gifts & Hotel Info

You might be wondering where we are registering for wedding gifts. Since we live in a little condo with pretty much all the house appliances we need, we thought it would be best ask for help in recovering from the huge dent this wedding is going to put in our wallet. If you have something else in mind we’ll love it too, no worries!

If you plan on staying at the same hotel as the ceremony, please contact me for all the information. If you reserve a room soon you can get the group rate of $109 a night. There is no time limit for the guest rate, it’s based on availability of rooms.

Where is the Time Going?

We booked our honeymoon! We’re going to Ocho Rios, Jamaica! I couldn’t be more excited. We’ll be there for 8 nights at the Sandals Dunn’s River Resort. All inclusive, all the food, drinks, and activities we can handle. Maybe I’ll get a tan…

If you’re wondering where our engagement photos are don’t worry, we pushed back the date of the photo shoot to July 10th. I’ll post them right after we get them back.

Hopefully by now everyone has received their “Save the Date” magnet. If you’re expecting one and haven’t seen it, please let me know. We have a ton of extras.

Also, if you haven’t heard, the encouraged dress attire for the wedding is mostly black and some red, white, or gray. Anything with feathers is great too. Be glamorous and over the top! If you don’t want to, that’s fine of course. :)

Save the Date!

Dan and I designed the "Save the Date" cards. Well, he designed them while I watched and gave some suggestions. We just ordered them last night. They should be arriving in a week and we'll send them out to everyone ASAP. If I don't have your address, now is the time! Please e-mail it to me. I can't wait to see how they turn out! :)

9 Months Away... eek!

I feel like we are so behind on the plans right now... but we're really not. We just haven't had to worry about anything recently. I told a lot of people that we would be sending out the "Save the Date" cards in January, but we're still putting the guest list together. Dan also needs to start working on the design for the invitations.

We decided to not have a Maid of Honor or Best Man. We love all of our friends and we don't think it's fair to pick just one. My maids will be Ashley, Jenn, Melissa, Patty and Stella. Dan's groomsmen are his brothers Brian and Mark, and his friends Chris and Jim. He still needs to decide on one more.

For the honeymoon, I think I've convinced Dan to agree with me on Jamaica! We've been looking into the Sandals deals. I'm sooooo excited!
